Kastane
Kastane is a type of sword that people in Sri Lanka used a long time ago. Imagine a long stick with a pointy end and a big handle that you can hold on to. The handle is special because it looks like the head of an animal, like a bird or a dragon or a snake.
The kastane was used by important people like rulers and warriors. They would wear special clothes and put on armor to protect themselves. Then, they would grab the kastane and use it to fight off enemies.
Now, people don't really use kastane anymore since we have newer and better ways to protect ourselves. But sometimes people still like to look at them or collect them as a reminder of how people used to live a long time ago.
