Kawarau River

The Kawarau River is a very big and long stream of water that flows through New Zealand. It's like a really long and winding road for the water to travel on.

Think of the Kawarau River like a big straw in a cup. When you suck on a straw, the liquid flows through the straw from the cup and into your mouth. In the same way, the Kawarau River flows water through it from the start point, called the source, to the end point, called the mouth.

This river is very special because it's one of the places where people can go on a thrilling adventure called river rafting. River rafting is just like going on a water rollercoaster. You get to sit in a special boat called a raft and ride along the river, going up and down on the waves and getting wet while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

The Kawarau River is also famous for having a bridge where people like to do bungee jumping. Bungee jumping is when a person jumps off a tall platform with a special cord around their ankles that helps them bounce back up. It's like jumping with a giant rubber band on your feet.

So, the Kawarau River is a very important and exciting part of New Zealand's natural beauty. Whether you're rafting down it or jumping off a bridge into it, there's always a fun adventure to be had!
