ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kenneth V. Thimann

Okay kiddo, so Kenneth V. Thimann was a scientist who studied how plants grow. He wanted to know how they react to different things like light and moisture. He did lots of experiments to figure out how plants work.

One important thing he discovered was a hormone called "auxin" that helps plants grow and move towards light. He found this out by studying how plants bend and grow towards light.

Kenneth V. Thimann was a really smart scientist who helped us learn more about how plants work and how they use hormones like auxin to grow and survive.
