Kenya Colony
Kenya used to be a place that was ruled by another country called Britain. This is known as a colony. The British people came to Kenya and took control. They made rules that the Kenyan people had to follow, even though they were different from the British people.
During this time, the British people made Kenyan people work very hard on the farms and other jobs, and did not treat them fairly. Many Kenyan people did not like this and wanted to be free from British rule.
Eventually, after many years of struggle, the Kenyan people were able to gain their independence and become their own country. Today, Kenya is a country with its own government and laws, and the Kenyan people are free to make their own choices and live their own lives.
