Okay kiddo, have you ever played chess before? Keres was a very good chess player a long time ago. He was from a country called Estonia, which is in Europe.

Keres worked really hard to learn all the special moves and tricks in chess. He played against lots of other chess players and won many games. People really liked him because he was very smart and always tried his best.

Even though Keres couldn't become the world champion of chess, he was still very good and lots of people remember him today.
