Kestros (weapon)

A kestros is a special stick with a string attached to it, kind of like a toy fishing pole. It was used a long time ago as a weapon, for things like hunting or fighting. You would tie one end of the string to the stick and the other end to a small, sharp piece of metal, like an arrow or a spear. Then, you would pull back on the string and let go, shooting the metal piece off the stick and hopefully hitting your target. Kind of like shooting a really small, pointy Nerf dart!
