ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Key management (access control)

Key management (access control) is a way of keeping track of who has access to something and making sure that only the right people are able to get into it. For example, when you lock your front door, you are using key management! It keeps all the people that you don't want in your house out and lets you, your family, and other people that you want inside get in. Access controls can also be used to keep important things like information and money safe.
