Keyhole garden

A keyhole garden is like a special kind of garden that has a very special shape. Imagine that you draw a circle on the ground to make a garden, but then you also draw a little squiggly line that kind of looks like a keyhole. That's what a keyhole garden looks like!

The idea behind a keyhole garden is to use a special method to grow plants that can be really helpful if you don't have a lot of space or if you want to use your resources carefully. The circle part of the garden is where you can plant all your favorite vegetables and fruits, and the squiggly part is where you can put your compost (a special kind of soil that helps plants grow better).

The cool thing about a keyhole garden is that it's designed to help the compost feed the plants in the circle part of the garden really well. When you put food scraps and other materials into the compost part of the garden, it will gradually break down and start to make the soil really healthy. Then, as the compost gets wet and starts to break down, all the nutrients in it will slowly seep into the soil in the circle part of the garden, helping your plants to grow big and strong!

A keyhole garden is a great way to make the most of the space you have, and it's also really good for the environment because it can help you cut down on waste by using your food scraps to make compost. Plus, it's a really fun project to work on with your family, and you can all enjoy the delicious fruits and veggies you grow together!
