ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Khatri–Rao product

Okay kiddo, let's say you have two groups of toys. One group has three toys and the other group also has three toys. Let's call them group A and group B.

Now, let's say we want to make a big group of toys by combining group A and group B. But instead of just putting them together like a big pile, we want to match them up in a special way.

To do this, we use something called the Khatri-Rao product. We take the first toy from group A and match it up with all three toys in group B. Then we take the second toy from group A and match it up with all three toys in group B. We keep doing this until we've matched up all the toys in both groups.

Now we have a big group of toys that's made up of all the possible combinations of toys from group A and group B. And we did it using the Khatri-Rao product!
