Kings of Mide
Ok, imagine a really really big playground, like a whole country. And imagine that there were lots of different groups of people in that playground, like tribes. Each of these tribes had their own leader, like a captain of a sports team.
Now, imagine that one of these leaders, called Tuathal Techtmar, was really strong and powerful. He managed to gather together all of these tribes and became the king over all of them. This was called the High Kingship of Ireland.
But, Tuathal couldn't be king forever, so after he passed away, there were lots of different kings who ruled over different parts of Ireland. One of these kings was called Crimthann mac Fidaig. He was the king of a place called Mide, which was right in the middle of Ireland.
Mide was really important because lots of roads and rivers went through it, which made it a good place for trading and traveling. So, Crimthann had a lot of power because he controlled this important area.
Even after Crimthann died, there were still lots of other kings who ruled over Mide. They fought with each other sometimes, but they also worked together to keep their people safe. And that's how the kings of Mide were important in the history of Ireland.
