ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kip (unit)

A kip is a special name for a very big weight, like a really heavy ball. It's a way to measure how heavy something is, kind of like how you measure how hot something is with a thermometer. Sometimes we use pounds or grams to measure weight, but when things are really, really heavy, we use kips instead. So if you hear someone talking about something weighing a lot of kips, you know it must be really, REALLY heavy!
