Kirchhoff's law of thermal radiation

Kirchhoff's law of thermal radiation explains why the things around us get hot or cold. It says that things that are hot give off heat, and things that are cold absorb heat. So when you put something hot near something cold, the cold thing gets warmer, and the hot thing gets colder. The law helps us understand why the sun warms us up and why our bodies cool down in cooler temperatures.
