ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kitchen garden

A kitchen garden is like having your very own grocery store in your backyard!

It's a special place where you plant different kinds of yummy foods, like vegetables, fruits, and herbs.

Everything grows in the dirt, which is like a big brown blanket for your plants to sit in.

You have to take really good care of your garden by giving it water every day, pulling out any weeds that might try to grow, and adding special food (called fertilizer) to help the plants grow bigger and stronger.

Once your plants start to grow, you can pick them and use them for cooking! Maybe you can make a yummy salad with some lettuce and tomatoes from your garden or use some herbs like basil or oregano to make a delicious pasta sauce.

It's like having your very own little farm at home, where you can learn about nature and how to take care of plants. And the best part is, everything you grow is fresh, healthy, and tastes oh-so-good!
