"Knowing" is a movie that is a bit scary and has a lot of science fiction elements in it. It's a story about a man named John who is a professor and a father of a young boy named Caleb. One day, Caleb gets this sheet of paper from a time capsule at school that has a bunch of numbers on it. Nobody knows what the numbers mean, but John figures out that they are a code of sorts that predicts some major disasters that have happened in the past and will happen in the future. He becomes obsessed with trying to figure out what the next disaster will be and how to prevent it.
John and Caleb then start to experience strange things happening around their town, like people standing outside at night and not moving, and moths covering everything. Eventually, John figures out that the numbers were actually sent to Earth by aliens who are trying to rescue some humans before the world gets destroyed by a gigantic solar flare.
In the end, John and Caleb end up meeting the aliens, and they take some people with them to another planet so they can be safe from the solar flare. It's a pretty intense and sad movie at times, but it's also fascinating to watch and think about what could happen if something like this really did occur.
