ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Knowledge production modes

Knowledge production modes are different ways to come up with new knowledge and ideas. Learning by doing is one way, where you practice something over and over and learn how to do it better. Reading and listening to lectures is another way, where you learn by reading books or listening to people who know more than you. Talking and interviewing other people is yet another way, where you can ask questions and learn from the answers. Finally, experimenting is another way, where you try different ideas and see which ones work.
