Komornik–Loreti constant

Dear little one, have you ever tried to measure how things change over time? Just like how you grow bigger and bigger each year, there are some numbers that change too.

One of these numbers is called the Komornik-Loreti Constant. It's a really special number that comes from a mathematical formula. This formula can take any number and turn it into a longer sequence of numbers that never repeats itself. That means the sequence never goes back to where it started and just keeps getting longer and longer.

The special thing about the Komornik-Loreti Constant is that it's the smallest number that can create this kind of never-ending, non-repeating sequence. Think of it as the smallest Lego piece that can make an endless building.

It's not something we would use in our everyday life, but mathematicians find it really interesting because it helps us understand how number patterns work.
