ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Konane

Konane is a game that has been played for a very long time in Hawaii. It's a bit like checkers, but instead of moving your pieces diagonally, you move them horizontally or vertically.

To play, each player starts with a bunch of small black or white stones, which they place on a checkerboard-like grid. The goal is to capture all of your opponent's stones by jumping over them with your own stones, kind of like in checkers.

But there's a catch: you have to jump over two of your opponent's stones at a time, and they have to be in a straight line. So you can't just hop over one stone like you can in checkers.

This makes the game a bit more challenging, but also more fun! The game ends when one player has captured all of their opponent's stones, or if neither player can make any more moves.

Overall, Konane is a strategy game where you have to plan ahead and think carefully about your moves. It's been enjoyed by people in Hawaii for generations, and it's still played today!
