Kookaburra (rocket)
A kookaburra rocket is like a very big toy that can go very fast and very high. It's called a rocket because it's powered by special fuel that makes it shoot up into the sky.
The kookaburra rocket is made up of different parts, just like a puzzle. The bottom part is called the engine and it has lots of fuel inside that makes the rocket fly. Above the engine is the middle part which is called the body, this is where the equipment or the things that the rocket is going to take to space is stored. The top part is called the nose cone, which is designed to help the rocket go straight up into the sky.
When the kookaburra rocket is ready to go, people press a button and the engine at the bottom lights up. The burning fuel inside the engine makes a lot of hot air that rushes out of the bottom of the rocket, pushing it up into the sky. And because the rocket has a nose cone and other special parts, it goes straight up and doesn't tip over.
Once the rocket reaches space, it can release satellites, which are little machines that can help us learn about space or communicate with other parts of the world. And all of this is possible thanks to the powerful kookaburra rocket!
