ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Korean-Mexican fusion

Korean-Mexican fusion is when the food from two different places, Korea and Mexico, are mixed together to make new and exciting dishes! Just like how you might mix different colors of paint to make a new color, chefs mix different ingredients from Korea and Mexico to create yummy foods.

For example, they might take Korean-style marinated beef called bulgogi, and put it inside a tortilla wrap like in a taco. Or they might mix together Korean spicy sauce called gochujang with cheese and use it as a topping for nachos or fries! These dishes are called Korean-Mexican fusion because they are a blend of both Korean and Mexican ingredients.

It's like if you had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but instead of using bread, you use a tortilla and instead of peanut butter and jelly, you use spicy Korean sauce and Mexican salsa! It might sound a little strange, but trust us, it's really yummy!
