ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kurrent

Kurrent is a fancy way of writing letters that people used a long time ago, before computers and pencils. It looks kind of like fancy handwriting with lots of loops and swoops. It was used in Germany in the past and is sometimes still used today for special things like invitations or certificates. But most people today use regular handwriting that's easier to read and write quickly.
