Kyoto

Kyoto is a big word that means the name of a special agreement between lots of different countries around the world. These countries wanted to work together to help make the air cleaner and healthier for people to breathe. They made promises to try and use less energy and make less pollution. It's kind of like when you and your friend promise to help each other clean up your toys after playing together. Except in this case, it's lots of countries promising to clean up the air they breathe.
