LEAPS (finance)

Leaps are a type of financial product that allow an investor to invest in a company for a longer period of time than they normally would. They are called "long-term equity appreciation securities" and they can be bought and sold just like regular stocks. Leaps allow you to buy stocks at a lower price than you would normally and then hold onto the stock for a longer period of time, generally up to 3 years. This can be a great way to make money since you can benefit from any increase in the stock price over the 3-year period.
