ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

LGBT-free zone

An LGBT-free zone is a place where some people don't want people who identify as LGBT (which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) to be allowed or accepted. This means that they don't want these people to have the same rights or freedoms as everyone else. It's like when you're playing a game, and some players decide that one particular type of person can't be on their team - this is not fair or kind, and it hurts people's feelings. Everyone should be allowed to be who they are and to be treated equally, no matter where they live or who they are. It's important to always show kindness and respect to everyone, no matter how they identify.
