Lachin offensive

The Lachin Offensive was a military operation that happened in 1992 during a war in a place called Nagorno-Karabakh. Imagine you have two friends who both want a toy, but there's only one toy. They start fighting over it and you don't know what to do. This is kind of like what was happening in Nagorno-Karabakh, where two groups of people, the Armenians and the Azeris, were fighting over who gets to control the land.

During the Lachin Offensive, the Armenians were trying to take control of a road called the Lachin Corridor, which connected Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia. It's like a bridge that connects two places. If the Armenians could take control of this road, it would be easier for them to get supplies and help from Armenia.

The Azeris didn't want this to happen, so they fought back. They had tanks and other weapons to try and stop the Armenians, but the Armenians had more people and were able to take control of the road. It was a big victory for the Armenians, but it also made the Azeris very upset.

The Lachin Offensive was just one battle in a long war that lasted for several years. Many people were killed or had to leave their homes because of the fighting. It's important to remember that war is very serious and can have a big impact on people's lives.
