Lake Hammar
Okay kiddo, so you know what a lake is right? It's like a big, big puddle of water, but huge like an ocean. Well, Lake Hammar is just another one of those lakes, but it's in a country called Iraq.
A long time ago, way before you were born, there were people who lived near this lake. They used it for drinking water and to catch fish to eat.
But then something happened, there was a really big war going on in Iraq and the water in the lake got really, really dirty. So much so that people couldn't drink from it anymore, and the fish were all gone.
Now, the government in Iraq is trying to make the water clean again so that people can use it like they used to. They are working hard to clean up the dirty water in the lake so that it's safe for everyone to use again.
So, Lake Hammar is just a lake in Iraq that people are trying to clean up so that they can use it again for their everyday needs.
