Lake Poopó

Lake Poopó was a very big lake in a country called Bolivia. The lake was home to many different animals and people who made their living by fishing and farming. But something bad happened to the lake, and now it is very small and almost all of the animals and people are gone.

The bad thing that happened to Lake Poopó is called pollution. Pollution means that dirty things like trash and chemicals get into the water and make it not good for living things. In the case of Lake Poopó, pollution came from nearby factories and from people who didn't take care of the waste they made.

When the lake became polluted, many of the plants and animals started to die. This made it harder for the people who relied on them for food and money. Eventually, the lake got so small that it disappeared altogether, leaving only a small pond behind.

Now, people are trying to figure out how to fix the problem of pollution so that the lake can come back and be home to animals and people again. It's really important to take care of our planet and make sure that we don't destroy the places where we live and the animals that live with us.
