ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Land consumption

Land consumption means using land for some type of activity. This could be anything from constructing buildings, to growing crops, to mining for minerals. Land isn't always available for people to use, so it's important to be smart about how it is used. For example, if people overbuild on land that was once used for agriculture, it can lead to problems in the future. If too much land is used up for buildings, there might not be enough left for growing food. So it's important to think carefully before using up land, so that we can use it in a way that benefits the most people.
