Language of Jesus

The language that Jesus spoke was called Aramaic. Just like you speak English, he spoke Aramaic to his friends and family. It was a common language spoken in Israel during that time. Aramaic is different from English in the same way that Spanish or French is different from English. People speak different languages in different parts of the world. So, when Jesus spoke, he spoke in Aramaic, but his words were later translated into other languages like Greek, Latin, and English.
