Lares Familiares

Lares familiares are like little gods in ancient Roman religion that are believed to watch over and protect families and their homes. Imagine you have a special toy that you really love and want to keep safe from harm. You might keep it in a special place, like on your shelf or in your bed, so that you can see it and be reminded of it every day. That's kind of like how the Romans kept their Lares familiares.
