ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Large aircraft

Imagine you have a toy airplane - it's very small and easy to play with by yourself. Now, imagine a plane that is much bigger than your toy airplane. This plane is so big, it can carry lots of people and things inside of it, like a big bus in the sky!

But this big plane needs to be able to fly safely up in the air. To do this, it needs special parts and systems, like big wings, engines, and wheels. The wings are like big arms that help the plane lift up off the ground and stay up in the air. The engines are like giant fans that push the plane forward, like when you blow on your toy airplane to make it fly. And the wheels help the plane land safely back on the ground.

But a big plane also needs things inside of it to help the people and things it's carrying. There might be seats for people to sit in and relax during the flight, and there might be places to store luggage and food for everyone to eat.

Overall, a large aircraft is like a big, flying bus that has lots of parts and systems to help it fly safely and carry lots of people and things.
