Las Médulas
Okay kiddo, so Las Médulas is a very special place in Spain where people used to find a type of rock called gold-ore. Long, long ago, people used to dig in the ground and look for this special rock to turn it into something called gold. But, at Las Médulas, they found a way to get the gold-ore out without digging in the ground.
What they did was they used something like a big water hose to blast water at the rocks. This made the rocks break apart and revealed the gold-ore inside. It was like a giant game of hide and seek!
Now, thousands of years later, Las Médulas is a beautiful place with lots of big red rocks that look like they're on fire. You can go there and take a walk on special paths to see the rocks up close. It's like a big adventure through a magical land!
