ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Late Harappan period

The Late Harappan Period was a long time ago in India when people lived in a place called the Indus Valley. It was a time when people had cities, just like we do today, but they were very different from our cities now.

During the Late Harappan Period, people had pretty advanced technology for their time. They made things like pottery, metal objects, and tools for farming. They even had a system for writing down things, which was an important way for them to communicate with others about important things.

But there were also some problems during the Late Harappan Period. The cities had fewer people than before, and some of the buildings and infrastructure started to fall apart. This might have been because of changes in the environment, like droughts or floods, or because of conflicts between different groups of people.

Despite these struggles, though, the Late Harappan Period was an important time in India's history. It helped shape the way that people in that part of the world lived for a long time after. And even though we might not live like people did during the Late Harappan Period, we can still learn a lot from studying it today.
