Laundry detergent

Alright kiddo, let's talk about laundry detergent! You know how your clothes can get dirty when you play outside or spill food on yourself? Well, laundry detergent helps to clean your clothes so they are nice and fresh again.

Laundry detergent comes in different forms, such as liquid or powder. The detergent you use should be put into a special container in your washing machine called the detergent drawer. This is where the machine will take the detergent and mix it with water to make a soapy mixture called a "detergent solution."

The detergent solution helps to get rid of dirt and stains on your clothes by breaking them apart into tiny pieces, which can be flushed away with the water. You know how you sometimes have to scrub really hard to get a stain out of your clothes? Laundry detergent does this work for you!

Different types of laundry detergent have different ingredients that help to clean your clothes. Some detergents have enzymes, which are like little helpers that break down certain kinds of stains. Others have chemicals called surfactants, which help water and soap to mix together and work better.

Finally, when your washing machine is done running, you need to take your clothes out and put them in the dryer or hang them up to dry. Then you'll have clean clothes that are ready to wear again!
