ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Leche frita

Leche frita is a yummy dessert that comes from Spain. It is a bit like pudding, but it is served in the shape of small squares.

To make it, first you need to heat up some milk with sugar and cinnamon until it becomes thick and creamy. Then, you let the mixture cool down and pour it into a square baking dish.

After that, you put the dish in the fridge for a few hours so that the mixture sets and becomes firm.

Once it's firm, you take it out of the fridge and cut the mixture into small squares. Then, you coat the squares in flour and fry them in a pan with hot oil until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Finally, you sprinkle some powdered sugar on top of the squares and serve them up!

So, leche frita is like a sweet treat that is made of milk, sugar, and cinnamon, and it is cooked in a pan with flour and oil to make small, crispy squares that you can sprinkle with powdered sugar. Yum!
