Lepakshi is a very special place in India where we can see really old buildings and sculptures that tell us stories about ancient times.
Long, long ago, people used to build temples for their gods and goddesses. In Lepakshi, there is a very old temple called the Veerabhadra temple. It was built more than 500 years ago by some really smart and creative people!
When you go inside the temple, you will see that it is very colorful and has lots of pictures and sculptures on the walls. These pictures and sculptures are like pictures in a storybook and tell stories about the gods and goddesses. You will learn about Shiva and Vishnu and other important gods and goddesses.
One of the most special things about the Veerabhadra temple is the huge statue of a bird called the Garuda. It is very big and made of just one piece of stone! There is also a really big painting of a dance called the "Dancing Shiva". We can also see a hanging pillar in the temple that doesn't touch the ground tightly, but we can still see it standing without falling. Can you imagine that?
So, Lepakshi is a great place to learn about our history and see how smart and creative people were in the past. It is important to take care of these old buildings and sculptures so that we can keep learning from them for a long, long time.
