ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Level and incline running

Okay, so you know how when you walk on a flat road or sidewalk, it's pretty easy, right? Well, running on a flat surface is similar. It's not too hard because you're not going uphill or downhill.

Now, imagine walking up a really steep hill. That's going to be more difficult and you might get really tired, right? It's the same thing with running on an incline. When you run uphill, your body has to work harder to move against gravity, which makes it more challenging.

Running downhill is a little different. It might seem like it would be easier because you're going with gravity, but it can actually be pretty tricky. When you run downhill, your body is moving faster than it would normally, which can be hard to control.

So, in summary, running on level ground is pretty easy, running uphill is harder, and running downhill can be tricky. It's important to practice all three so you can become a better runner overall!
