Lewis Urry

Lewis Urry was a really smart man who helped make better batteries for things like cell phones and cars. He came up with a special type of battery called an alkaline battery. This battery is better than the old kind because it lasts longer and doesn't run out of power as quickly. It also doesn't leak like the old batteries sometimes did, which could be really messy and yucky. Lewis Urry worked really hard to make this battery and lots of people use it today because it's so good. He was like a superhero for batteries!
