Libertarian paternalism

Libertarian paternalism is the idea that the government can make decisions for you, but still respect your freedom to choose what you do. For example, the government might set up a system to automatically enroll you in a retirement savings plan, but still give you the option to opt out. This way, you're more likely to save for your retirement, but still have the freedom to choose.
