ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Lies (evidence)

Alright kiddo, so sometimes people don't tell the truth. When they say something that isn't true, we call that a lie.

Now, if someone says something and you don't believe it, you might want evidence. Evidence is like clues or proof that can help us figure out if something is true or not.

For example, let's say someone says they saw a dinosaur in their backyard. That sounds pretty wild, right? You might not believe them! So you might ask for evidence. Maybe they have footprints or pictures or even a video of the dinosaur. That evidence could help us figure out if it's really true or if they were just telling a fib.

Sometimes people might try to use fake evidence to make their lies seem more believable. That's called "fabricating" evidence, and it's not a good thing to do. We always want to try to tell the truth and use real evidence to support our claims.
