Life imprisonment

Life imprisonment means that a person is put in prison for a very long time, usually for the rest of their life. It's like a super-long time-out, like having to spend the rest of your life in a big room without being able to leave. People who go to prison for life usually have done something really bad and, because of that, a judge decided that they have to be punished with life in prison without any chance of getting out.
