Lifeboats of the Titanic

When the Titanic set sail, it had a bunch of things on it to keep everyone safe in case something bad happened. One of those things was lifeboats.

Lifeboats are like little boats that can hold people and take them away from the big ship if something bad happens. They are important because if the big ship starts sinking, people need to be able to get off it quickly and safely.

The Titanic had enough lifeboats for about half the people on the ship. That might sound like a lot, but there were a lot more people on the Titanic than that. So, when the ship started to sink, there weren't enough lifeboats for everyone.

Lots of people had to stay on the big ship and try to find other ways to stay safe. Some people did manage to get on the lifeboats, but they were very lucky. It was a really scary and sad situation, and we can learn from it to make sure we have enough lifeboats for everyone on ships in the future.
