Lift slab construction

Lift slab construction is like building a tall cake. First, you need to make the bottom layer which is called the foundation. This is like the cake's crust, and it needs to be very strong and level.

Next, you need to make the walls of the cake. This is done by pouring concrete into forms, which are like giant molds. The concrete needs to be smooth and flat so that it will support the weight of the next layer.

After the walls have dried and hardened, you can add the next layer, which is called the slab. This is like adding another cake layer on top of the first one. However, this layer is so heavy that you can't just lift it up and put it on top of the walls.

To solve this problem, special cranes are used that can lift the slab and hold it in place while workers install metal posts called columns. These columns are like toothpicks holding the cake layers together.

Once the columns are secure, the crane can release the slab and it will stay in place because the columns are holding it up. Then workers can add more layers to the cake, each time using the crane to lift and place the slab on top of the columns.

Once the cake is finished, it is as tall as a building, and every layer is supported by the strong columns. This is called lift slab construction, and it allows buildings to be built more quickly and efficiently than traditional methods.
