Light is what we see when we turn on a lamp or a flashlight. It helps us see everything around us. When there's light, we can see what color our toys are, what our friends are wearing, and the books we like to read.
On the other hand, darkness is what we see when we close the curtains or when we turn off the flashlight. It's so dark that we can't see anything. Our brain thinks that it's nighttime and we should go to sleep.
Did you know that the sun gives us light during the day and the moon and stars give us light at night? During the day, there's so much light that we don't really notice stars, but at night, when it gets dark, we can see them shining.
Sometimes, when it's really dark, we might feel scared or unsure of what's around us. But remember, light is always just a switch away!
