Lights out (manufacturing)

Lights out manufacturing is a way that factories can make things without the help of people. Machines and robots do most of the work. All you need to do to get them to work is turn on the lights! The robots and machines know what to do when the lights come on and start to do the work that needs to be done. They can assemble products, move them around, and even pack them up for shipping. This is one way that factories can save money and make more products without needing as many workers.
