ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Linear form

Okay kiddo, a linear form is like a rule that helps you figure out what number comes next if you know the one before it. Let's say you have a rule that says you add 2 every time to get the next number. So if you start with 1, you add 2 to get 3, and then you add another 2 to get 5, and so on. That's a linear form! Another example could be a rule that says you multiply by 3 every time to get the next number. So if you start with 2, you multiply by 3 to get 6, then you multiply 6 by 3 to get 18, and so on. Does that make sense, sweetie?
