Linear park

Alright kiddo, do you like going to the park? Well, a linear park is a special kind of park that is very long and narrow, just like a ribbon!

Usually, a linear park is built in an area that used to be something else, like an old railroad track, a river bank or a road that doesn't have a lot of traffic. Instead of building houses or shops, the city or community decides to make it into a park so everyone can enjoy it!

Linear parks often have paths where you can walk, run or ride your bike for a long distance. They might also have benches to sit on, pretty flowers to look at, or playgrounds and sports areas where you can play games with your friends. They can be a really fun way to explore your city or town, and maybe even discover new things you didn't know about before!

So that's a linear park, kiddo. It's like a long, thin park that runs through your neighborhood, giving everyone a place to play, exercise and get close to nature. Maybe next time we're out and about, we can visit one ourselves!
