ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Linked set

Imagine you have a bunch of toys like Legos, action figures, and cars that you like to play with. Now, imagine you put all your toys in a big box and shake it up. You reach in and grab a toy, but it's not the one you want to play with right now. If you keep grabbing toys randomly, it might take you a while to find the one you want!

A linked set is kind of like putting your toys in separate boxes and labeling them. Instead of all your toys jumbled together, you have them organized and connected in a specific order. This means you can quickly find the toy you want to play with because you know where it is.

In a linked set, each toy (or "element") is connected to the one before it and the one after it. This makes it easier to move around and find what you're looking for. For example, if you want to find your favorite car toy, you can start at the beginning of the linked set and follow the connections until you get to the box labeled "Cars." Then, you can quickly find your favorite car toy without having to dig through a big jumbled box!
