Lint is like tiny pieces of fabric that come off of your clothes or towels when you wash and dry them. Sometimes these little pieces stick to your clothes even after you wash them and they can be annoying. Lint is made up of fibers that are too small to be seen by our eyes, but when we gather a bunch of them together, we can see them as lint. You might have seen a thing called a "lint roller" that pet owners use to get rid of animal fur on their clothes. This is a tool that collects lint by rolling it over surfaces to pick up the small fibers. So essentially, lint is just bits of fabric that come off of our clothes or towels when we wash them.
