ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Lira

Hi there! Lira is kind of like money that people use in certain countries. Just like how we have dollars here in the United States, some places have lira.

For example, in Turkey, they use something called the Turkish lira. It's basically like coins and paper bills that people trade with each other to buy things they need like food or toys.

The lira is really important because it helps people understand how much something costs. Just like how you might use a piggy bank to save up your allowance, people use lira to keep track of how much money they have and how much they need for things they want to buy.

Hope this helps!
