A Lissajous orbit is a type of path that some objects can take when they are moving around each other in space. It's named after the French mathematician Jules-Antoine Lissajous. Basically, if two objects in space like satellites, moons, or planets are each moving around the other, they don't always go in straight lines. Sometimes they go in curves and twists and turns, like a slinky. That's a Lissajous orbit.
